*Cough Cough*

Perhaps the root of my dancing issue can be found in the illness I stumbled upon over the weekend...at least, let's hope that's the problem. I can't fall off the stage during performace...that would be bad...

Fantasia Ostriches

In order to dance, there must be several attributes in place: rhythm, grace, and a sense of balance. I seem to be lacking in all of the above...pardon me while I stick my head in a hole and shoot my foot.

Put a Smile On

I had forgotten about the simple pleasure that is to be found in a 99 cent hot fudge sundae from McDonald's...oh yeah

Scratch and Sniff

Dancing is so wonderful...unless you're doing the cha-cha with someone who stinks. This is especially not fun when doing the move "sweetheart exchange" because that requires far too much arm liftage. Ewww...no offense to stinky people, of course. I don't want the coalition for stinkified people coming after me...

DANCEROO

Renee and I are officially going to be the hottest girls on the campus at the end of these next four weeks...check out our schedules:

Monday: Ballroom Dancing, Soccer, Interpretive Dance
Tuesday: Running Club
Wednesday: Ballroom Dancing, Interpretive Dance
Thursday: Running Club
Friday: Interpretive Dance

Then other random energy-exerting activities are randomly thrown in there...yeah, we're hotties... =)

BUSY BUSY!!!

So yeah, lately I've been super busy...super super busy...and even lazier than I've been busy! Let me sum up my weekend, for anyone who cares...Friday after class and such I got a makeover (hottie right here) then we had plans to go see "Underworld." Then James got a flat tire and got lost, John got in a wreck, and Adrian and Josh got locked out of their house...yet we still made it to the movie. Hard core stuff, eh? It was a pretty good movie...it exceeded my expectations, but unfortunately, I feel that it still fell short of what it could have been. But that's okay, because where the movie fell short, the game picked up the slack!!! GEORGIA - 10, LSU-17 YEAH WE DID!!!! It was the most amazing game ever...over 150,000 people on campus, over 92,000 of them in the stadium...IT WAS AWESOME!!!! So then I slept basically all day Sunday then went to the Refuge...and that was it. Great weekend, huh?

Badgers!!!

Today, Josh, my surrogate boyfriend, introduced me to the badgers. I must share the wondrous joy that is the badgers. Watch and be amazed...amused...and perhaps slightly disturbed at your previous reactions.

THE BADGERS

Allotted Moment of Stupidity

I allow myself at least one moment of utter stupidity in a day. Today I have already had it, so I'm not allowed anymore. What was it? Well, in Geography a few minutes ago we had to draw a map of the campus from memory for bonus points. I give campus tours. I drew a blank. Literally, also, I drew a blank. I couldn't think of the names for several buildings, I remembered after turning it in that I left off some of my favorites, and I would have drawn more but I ran out of room on one side! I felt like a disgrace to the name Recruiting Services/Tours. Oh well, I can always quit school and become a professional...something. (I have no cleverness left in me this morning.)

One of my best friends, Renee, is deaf in one ear. When she talks on the phone, she, of course, holds the phone up to her good ear. When she is in a noisy place and talking on the phone, she still plugs her other ear with her fingers just like anyone else would. If that isn't profound, then I don't know what is.

So today I just got back to my dorm...and I have been gone since 830 this morning...so that makes 12 hours, huh? Wow, I've gotten busy. But I was doing useful stuff, though. I went to class, then work, then worked at the Student Organizational Fair for the chapel (while yelling free coffee and forcing blue sheets of paper into the hands of unsuspecting students...hehehe), then went back to work, then to French class (still don't speak it, darn), then to the Tiger TV office to work on editing my first news package, then to ballroom dancing (we have a "test" on the Foxtrot Monday! wish us luck), then to eat at Subway, then to get icecream with Renee....and now here I am, supposed to be studying...and I'll probably be leaving in about....oh...45 minutes...yeah....so life is busy, get a planner.

This whole three girls sharing one bathroom thing has just begun to get on my nerves. I get up about 7 minutes late and get ready to get in the shower, only to hear my suitmate locking the bathroom door and turning on the water (and she takes very long showers.) So here I am, all showerless...but alas, what do I hear? The water getting turned off? Then, I need to go jump in there before someone else does...you never know around here...

Hey, so, I'm awake...that's always a good thing, huh? I was having some awesome dreams last night though, so I was dreading opening my eyes this morning...*sigh* The big problem is that I don't remember what the awesome dreams were about, just that they were awesome. If I knew what they were about, maybe it would give me some tips as to how to make my waking life more awesome. Cause awesome is, well, awesome...Yeahhhh....

I should definately change my major to ballroom dancing...yeah, that sounds good. It would be nice, although possibly not all that beneficial to my future. (I don't think you can do that anyway.) But I must say, out of all my classes today, that one was the most successful, and by far the most fun! I was even awake the whole time. Thanks to John for being such an amazing partner. He keeps me in line. =)

Have you ever wanted to run around the building you're in screaming at the top of your lungs, then just come back and go to sleep? Yeah, I definately feel like that right now. French sucks. I mean, maybe I would like it better if I actually could speak the language I'm expected to speak in class. But my confindence level in my capacity to speak and understand French is very low. And, alas, I still have more French to write before class...tsk tsk, shouldn't have waited till the last minute, eh?

Yeah, so last night I went to sleep at like 5...well, this morning I went to sleep at 5, that is. Then I had to get up for church, which was not fun, cause I wanted to sleep. And I've been running off of no sleep like this for about a week, and it has finally taken its toll. All night I have done nothing but giggle uncontrollably. Well, that's basically all I've done. I did sing for a bunch of kids this afternoon with Craig while James played the guitar, and that went quite well. It was even virtually giggle free. How about that. So, there you go. It's time to sleep.

Okay, so this is my first post as a blogger...whatever that is. Sounds like a German dance where they kick and stomp and throw beer up in the air. Or a blog could be a small, purple, fuzzy animal, so a blogger would train the blog to leap through flaming hoops. Whatever a blogger is, I am hereby proud of my blogginess. So, here I am, here's my post, welcome to my life. Blog.
