The big one

Well, it's been a while since I posted, and I figured this would be as good a time as ever. Yesterday was the big 12/12, turning the big 21. Yeah, I still don't feel 21. I bought my first mudslide at Ruby Tuesday with mom, which was kinda cool, but still not that big of a deal. For my birthday, my friends threw me a surprise party at the apartment...at like 930 in the morning. LOL It really meant a lot, them adjusting their schedules and losing sleep to come celebrate with me. Then Friday night Mic took me to this place where they take you up 200 feet, then you free fall 100 feet (80 mph) and land in a net....lol. So we did that, then he got me a cd at Best Buy and we ate some Cheeburger Cheeburger. Then Saturday I worked most of the day, then I was going to go bowling with Adam and Charles, but the darn lanes were close for a private party. Turns out it was for the Dukes of Hazzard movie, so it was very very private. Dang Jessica Simpson! Anyway, so we ended up doing absolutely nothing at the guy's apartment. Sunday mom came and we ate at Great Wall (a birthday tradition since I've lived in Baton Rouge) and went shopping. And, that's pretty much been it. Oh, and mom and dad got me an awesome digital camera, so I'll actually be able to take pictures of stuff! Yay!!!

Well, I'm not sure what this week will bring, but I'm definately going to find something cool to do. I had way too much down time this weekend, and I'm itching to get out. But not right now, cause it's cold, I'm tired, and I'm wearing my silk pj's. :-)

Return me to innocence!!!

So...yeah...as of now, I feel...very...ummm...yeah.

All of a sudden, I have experienced so many things that I never thought I would...I feel so much...wiser? I don't know...

Over the break, I saw a drag show. Not just any drag show at a gay bar, but one with a guy(?) who had breasts and a see through beaded dress and did things to the audience and himself that....well, let's just say I can't repeat.

I saw my best friend back home, who's been my best friend for 12 years, kiss another girl. She was drunk, but still...I don't think I'll ever be that drunk. Just didn't seem like her...

Now, my ex got his stuff pierced. I had never seen that before, so he sent me a pic. I must say, looks very painful...

I feel much more educated in the ways of the world. That's it. No longer sheltered. And a little exposed. But hey, at least I learned something new.

And there was much rejoicing

So I'm finally finished with MC3102, AKA my 4 hour broadcast ho of a class, so that's a relief. That's 4 more hours of my Wednesdays I get...and the 2-3 hours of filming a week...and the hour spent writing the scripts...and the 2-3 hours spent editing...yeah, that's a heck of a lot of time I won't know what to do with. Right now, though, I gotta spend it getting ready for my other 3 finals next week.

There is also much rejoicing because as of last night, Renee' and Chris are finally an official couple (after having been dating for, oh, 2 months and just not admitting it to themselves or anyone else). That makes me happy, because Chris is one of my all-time favorite people, and if my best friend is going to end up with anyone, I want it to be him. So then if they get married, and Josh and Bekah are already getting married, and those are all my friends...then when we get older we can all be couple friends (that is, once I have someone to add to me to make up a couple...lol) Cute cute...(man, I am such a girl...)

I've also met some really cool people recently, and strengthened relationships with friends I've had for a long time. I'm really looking forward to what the time over the holidays is going to bring.

And now, I sleep with the comfort of knowing I wrote a blog post that was positive. YAY!
